Whangamata Community Services Trust (formerly known as ‘Te Whare Iwi’) started in someone’s backyard in the early 1980s. For over 30 years the Trust has worked hard to meet a range of social needs within Whangamata and the surrounding areas of Onemana, Opoutere, Hikuai, Tairua, Pauanui and Whiritoa.
We envision a community where individuals and families experience superior support and guidance on their journey to building resilience and self-reliance, now and into the future.
To meet the social needs of our community by providing a safe, caring, and confidential service, seeking to empower people to become resilient and self- reliant.
